ACH is free. Debit is 2%. Pay the 2% only if the market is leaving.

A simple funding rule: if the edge is not bigger than the card fee, wait for the bank transfer.

ACH deposits on Kalshi are free and take one to three business days. Debit cards are close to instant and cost about 2%. Wires are fast and your bank will bill you $15–30.

A 2% haircut on a $500 debit deposit is $10 before you have a position. On a 60¢ contract that is already a chunk of expected value.

Use debit when a number is in the air — CPI, an injury report, a Fed speaker — and you know you will trade in the next hour. Use ACH for everything else.

PayPal and Venmo sit in the middle for US users who do not want to link a bank. Crypto via ZeroHash is the international escape hatch.
