The event clock is Eastern Time. Your city does not move the print.
Fed, CPI, and NFL kickoff are written in ET. A limit you parked before you slept is how Tokyo and Berlin actually trade the print.
Kalshi’s resolution clock follows the event, and the event is almost always stamped in US Eastern Time. A 14:00 ET Fed decision is 20:00 in Berlin in winter and 03:00 in Tokyo. The contract does not wait for your lunch.
That is not a reason to sit the night session. A working limit does not need you on the glass. If the book is thin after the print — it usually is — a market order from another timezone is how you donate the spread. Park the price you actually want. If it misses, the cash and the 3.5–4% APY are still there.
Daylight-saving weeks in March and November are when people fat-finger the offset. The US flips; Japan and Korea do not; Europe flips on a different Sunday. Recheck the gap before you assume last month’s 20:00 is still 20:00.
This is not a session guide and not a call on any contract. If the live ticket and this paragraph disagree, the ticket wins. StartKalshi does not place the order.
