New Zealand is on Kalshi’s closed list
Signup from a New Zealand residential address fails. Kalshi is not an FMA-licensed derivatives issuer and not a TAB NZ product. Moving to Auckland with an old foreign account can still trigger a review — ask Kalshi, not a blog.
FMA supervises New Zealand financial markets. Kalshi is not an FMA-licensed provider of this product.
Official site- PayNZ / account-to-account
- New Zealand debit cards
FMA’s register is not missing a line item
The closed door is contractual and residential. We will not pretend a missing FMA tick is the only problem, or that ticking it from this website would open Kalshi. It would not.
Kiwi rails never get asked for
Domestic NZD transfers and cards never become a Kalshi deposit method for a blocked address. There is no «PayNZ to Kalshi» checkout. Treat any request for one as fraud.
The offset is extreme and irrelevant here
Auckland is 17 hours ahead of EST in NZ winter (19 vs EDT in NZ summer, depending on both DST calendars). That is a trading problem for people who can open accounts. You cannot, from this address.
No spoofed geo, even if you used to live in an open country
Residency changes can reopen a review. Update a real address with Kalshi support. Do not keep a US IP after you have a New Zealand lease. StartKalshi is not Kalshi Inc.
Identity checks still run on kalshi.com. If that signup or deposit screen disagrees with this note, trust Kalshi. StartKalshi is not Kalshi Inc.
