Opening from Egypt

A national ID and Egyptian address typically meet the document bar. CBE FX rules and dollar availability at banks decide whether you can actually fund. No EGX account is opened, and no CBE purpose code is filed by Kalshi on your behalf.

What Egypt pays with at home

InstaPay and Meeza stay in pounds. Kalshi never sees them. When a bank will sell you dollars for an outward payment, send only a method the deposit screen shows. An InstaPay request from a private mobile branded as the exchange is fraud — the firm does not collect Egyptian mobile wallets.

From EGP in Egypt to USD

EGP/USD has moved in steps after CBE adjustments; retail availability can be the binding constraint, not the mid you screenshot on a Telegram channel. Do not plan a large first deposit until the bank confirms the outflow. Pounds will not settle a DCM contract.

Hours in Egypt (Africa/Cairo (EET))

Cairo is EET (UTC+2, with occasional summer changes — verify before Ramadan and the US spring-forward). A US cash-open statistical release is mid-afternoon on the Nile. NFL primetime is very late evening in Zamalek.

Tax from Egypt — we will not pick a rate

Egyptian tax residents have foreign-income reporting duties that a local accountant should interpret. This page will not publish an ETA withholding figure or treat a fill like a local bookmaking payout. Keep pound conversion receipts with the dollar statement.
