Yes. Residents of Nigeria can apply. Settlement is NGN converted into USD; NIBSS instant payment is not a Kalshi checkout.
SEC Nigeria oversees domestic capital markets; the CBN oversees FX. Kalshi does not sit on either Nigerian register as a local operator.

A NIN, BVN-linked ID, and Nigerian address can satisfy Kalshi’s document check. CBN FX scarcity and bank dollar-request queues are the practical bottleneck, not the selfie.
What Nigeria pays with at home
NIP transfers and fintech wallets in naira cannot fund Kalshi. Dollars are typically sourced through an authorised dealer when allocation exists, or through a card the issuer will clear internationally, or ZeroHash where available to you. Anyone asking for an OPay transfer “to Kalshi support” is running a script.
From NGN in Nigeria to USD
NGN/USD official, I&E, and street windows can disagree. Price your experiment in the dollars you can actually buy, not in a Twitter mid. Kalshi will not receive naira.
