Opening from Czech Republic

An občanský průkaz or passport plus a Czech address typically clears KYC. Bank iD is not reused. No majetkový účet is opened at the CSD, and no ČNB reporting is filed by Kalshi for you.

What Czech Republic pays with at home

QR platba and koruna transfers stay domestic. Kalshi does not take them. Buy dollars at ČSOB, Komerčka, or an EMI, then send SWIFT or a merchant debit. A QR invoice branded as Kalshi payable to a private účet is phishing aimed at Czech banking apps.

From CZK in Czech Republic to USD

USD/CZK is thinner than EUR/USD; Czech banks add a visible spread. Many residents convert CZK→EUR→USD and pay twice — a single dollar ticket is cleaner. Koruny never sit on the exchange, and a “QR platba Kalshi” is someone else’s invoice.

Prague is CET/CEST, same civil offset as Vienna. Late NFL is early Monday in Žižkov. A mid-afternoon Eastern macro print is 20:30 in winter and 21:30 after both sides change clocks.

Tax from Czech Republic — we will not pick a rate

Finanční správa wants foreign income on the Czech return. Time-test exemptions that apply to some Czech securities do not automatically cover a U.S. DCM. A daňový poradce should classify the dollar result. A 15 percent figure copied from a domestic sale would be guesswork here.
