Kalshi is closed in France

If the residential address on the application is in France, onboarding stops. That is the Member Agreement, not a glitch on this page. Kalshi is a US CFTC designated contract market. It is not an AMF-authorised investment firm and not a Française des Jeux product.

AMF did not approve this product

The account you would have received is a foreign DCM membership, not a French securities account and not a licensed sports coupon. Clicking through on kalshi.com still presents an English Member Agreement under US rules. A StartKalshi summary in French is not that contract. France is red on the public list we track; confirm the live screen before you argue with a blog.

Lydia, Paylib and FranceConnect are not a tunnel

Those rails move euros between French people and French shops. They do not appear on Kalshi’s deposit screen because the account does not open. A private IBAN asking for a «virement d’activation Kalshi» is theft. We will not publish a funding sequence for a French address — there is nothing to fund.

Canada is the same closed door for French speakers

A Montréal or Québec residential address is also restricted. Language does not open the gate. Readers already living in Morocco — open on the public list — should use that country page and the French-language guides, not this one. Switzerland is now a Restricted Jurisdiction for Event Contracts in the 17 June 2026 Member Agreement; do not treat a Geneva postcode as an open door. This page is the stop sign for a French domicile.

What we will not publish

No list of «best residences», no VPN recipe, no Airbnb-in-Brooklyn script. Accounts opened that way freeze, often with the balance stuck. If Kalshi later lists France as open, kalshi.com will say so before this site does. StartKalshi is not Kalshi Inc.
