Opening from Finland

A Finnish henkilötunnus and passport usually pass KYC. Suomi.fi / bank e-ID is not wired in. No book-entry account is opened at Euroclear Finland. English remains the contract language even if you think in Finnish.

What Finland pays with at home

Siirto and Finnish MobilePay stay inside the euro domestic circuit. Kalshi never sees them. Buy dollars at Nordea, OP, or an EMI, then send a payment method the deposit screen actually shows. A stranger’s Siirto request wearing the exchange wordmark is theft.

From EUR in Finland to USD

Finland is in the euro, but Finnish banks still charge their own USD payment fees. Compare a Helsinki outgoing dollar wire with an EMI’s all-in quote. Euros do not settle Kalshi contracts and will bounce if you try to IBAN them over.

Hours in Finland (Europe/Helsinki (EET/EEST))

Helsinki is EET/EEST — one hour ahead of Stockholm. A mid-afternoon Eastern announcement is 21:00 in winter and 22:00 after the US springs forward. NFL late windows become very early Tuesday on Mannerheimintie.

Tax from Finland — we will not pick a rate

Finnish residents declare foreign income to Verohallinto. The osakesäästötili wrapper is for eligible securities, not a self-serve U.S. DCM. A veroasiantuntija should read the dollar CSV. This page will not assign a capital-gains percent or a Veikkaus withholding.
