Opening from Indonesia

A KTP/NIK and Indonesian address typically satisfy documents. Bank Indonesia FX and overseas-transfer questionnaires are the bank’s, not Kalshi’s. No KSEI account is opened, and the contract you click is still English-language DCM paper.

What Indonesia pays with at home

QRIS, GoPay, OVO, DANA, and BI-FAST rupiah transfers do not land on Kalshi. Buy dollars at a BCA, Mandiri, or other desk that will process an outward remittance, then send only what the deposit screen lists. A DANA payment request using the Kalshi wordmark is a phishing pattern aimed at Jakarta numbers.

From IDR in Indonesia to USD

USD/IDR retail spreads plus telegraphic fees dwarf the exchange’s taker fee on small tickets. Convert deliberately and keep the bank advice. Rupiah will not settle a contract, and a “top-up QRIS Kalshi” flyer is counterfeit.

Hours in Indonesia (Asia/Jakarta (WIB) — west; WITA/WIT further east)

Jakarta (WIB, UTC+7) puts a US morning statistical release at 19:30 or 20:30. Bali (WITA) is one hour later; Papua (WIT) later still. NFL Sunday American afternoon is already Monday morning in Menteng.

Tax from Indonesia — we will not pick a rate

DJP worldwide-income rules apply to residents. A konsultan pajak who files overseas-asset disclosures should classify the dollar result. This page will not publish a PPh figure or treat fills like local judi winnings.
