Opening from Malaysia

A MyKad or passport plus a Malaysian address usually passes KYC. DuitNow Proxy is not collected. No CDS account is opened at Bursa, and no LHDN form is issued by Kalshi.

What Malaysia pays with at home

DuitNow, FPX, and TNG eWallet cannot fund Kalshi. Ringgit typically become dollars at a Maybank or CIMB desk, then leave on a method the deposit screen shows. An FPX checkout titled “Kalshi” on a random domain is phishing aimed at Malaysian internet banking users.

From MYR in Malaysia to USD

USD/MYR retail spreads are moderate; BNM still expects honest purpose codes on outward payments. Ringgit will not sit in the Kalshi wallet. A “DuitNow to USD bridge” sold in a Telegram group is not a product.

Hours in Malaysia (Asia/Kuala_Lumpur (MYT))

Kuala Lumpur is UTC+8. A US morning statistical release is 20:30 or 21:30 MYT. Sunday NFL is Monday lunch around KLCC — tradable if you are in the office, gone if you already left for Friday prayers and a long weekend.
