Taiwan is restricted on Kalshi
Onboarding from a Taiwan residential address fails. Kalshi is not an FSC-licensed securities firm and not a domestic futures commission merchant. Convenience-store payment slips are not a funding method for an account that does not exist.
The FSC supervises Taiwanese banks, brokers and insurers. Kalshi is not an FSC-licensed intermediary.

Not a TAIFEX account
Nothing is opened at the Taiwan Futures Exchange. The English Member Agreement refuses the address. A Chinese-language StartKalshi page does not change that.
711 slips and Line Pay stay on the island
Those rails pay Taiwanese merchants. They do not credit Kalshi. A Line message asking you to pay a convenience-store code «for Kalshi» is a scam.
UTC+8 does not open the gate
Taipei shares a civil offset with Singapore and Shanghai. The legal files are different; all three are closed on the list we track. Readers already in Japan or another open country should use that page.
Do not appear elsewhere from a Taiwan lease
