Opening from Vietnam

A CCCD/CMND and Vietnamese address typically meet the document check. SBV overseas-payment rules are enforced by your bank, not by Kalshi’s onboarding screen. No VSD account is opened, and no Vietcombank purpose code is filed by the exchange.

What Vietnam pays with at home

MoMo, ZaloPay, VietQR, and Napas dong transfers do not credit Kalshi. Source dollars through a bank authorised to sell foreign currency for outward remittance, then send only what the deposit screen lists. A MoMo request wearing the Kalshi logo is a scam aimed at District 1 numbers.

From VND in Vietnam to USD

USD/VND is a managed rate; the cash desk you can actually use may differ from the SBV reference. Confirm availability before you promise yourself a deposit size. Dong will not settle a DCM ticket, and a “VietQR nạp Kalshi” poster is counterfeit.
