Is Kalshi available in Brazil?
Yes. Residents of Brazil can apply. Settlement is BRL converted into USD; Pix is not a Kalshi checkout.
BCB watches payment institutions and FX; CVM watches securities. Neither body has licensed Kalshi as a Brazilian exchange or betting house.

Opening from Brazil
A CPF and a Brazilian ID get you through Kalshi’s document check, but the account you receive is still a U.S. DCM login. Nothing is opened at B3, and Pix keys are never collected. Keep the CPF handy for your bank’s own FX paperwork when dollars leave Brazil.
What Brazil pays with at home
Pix, TED, DOC, and Boleto do not land on Kalshi. Brazilians usually buy dollars at an authorized dealer or a bank câmbio desk, then wire USD or push crypto through ZeroHash. A Brazilian debit card may be declined or billed as an international purchase. Anyone promising “Pix direto na Kalshi” is not describing the live rails.
From BRL in Brazil to USD
IOF on FX and card international spend is a Brazilian tax on the conversion, not a Kalshi fee. Spreads at retail câmbio windows move with the PTAX and with each bank’s commercial table. Size the IOF and the spread before you decide a $20 experiment is cheap.

São Paulo sits one or two hours ahead of New York depending on U.S. daylight saving (Brazil dropped DST). An 8:30 a.m. ET CPI release is 9:30 or 10:30 in Brasília. Late NFL games overlap Sunday evening in the Sudeste, which is easier than European kickoff times.
Tax from Brazil — we will not pick a rate
Receita Federal already taxes some foreign financial gains and requires periodic declarations of overseas assets above published thresholds. Event-contract P&L in USD is not a ready-made DARF code we can fill for you. Do not copy a day-trade aliquot from B3 onto Kalshi fills. A contador who files carne-leão / carnê-leão and foreign-asset forms should classify the CSV.

A cleared CPF login sees Kalshi’s dollar event list — not the domestic apostas regulamentadas products that Brazilian sportsbooks advertise on Sunday football.
