Can I use Kalshi in Mexico?
Yes. Residents of Mexico can apply. Settlement is MXN converted into USD; SPEI is not a Kalshi checkout.
CNBV supervises Mexican banks and brokers. Kalshi is not a CNBV-licensed casa de bolsa or betting permit holder.

Opening from Mexico
An INE credential or passport plus a Mexican address usually clears Kalshi KYC. No clabe is issued to you by the exchange, and nothing is opened at the BMV. Keep the RFC available for your own SAT filings later.
What Mexico pays with at home
SPEI, CoDi, and CLABE transfers in pesos do not credit a Kalshi wallet. Mexicans typically buy dollars at a bank or a licensed casa de cambio, then wire USD or use a dollar debit / ZeroHash path. A BBVA or Santander México app “transferencia internacional” is a bank product, not a Kalshi Pix-style checkout.
From MXN in Mexico to USD
USD/MXN is liquid but cash-desk spreads in tourist corridors are poor. Card issuers may flag Kalshi as a U.S. merchant and apply their international fee. Convert size on a proper FX ticket if you are funding more than a test deposit.

Mexico City usually shares Central Time with Chicago, so Fed and NFL clocks feel familiar. The U.S. DST switch sometimes diverges by a week — check the offset in March and November before you assume a 13:00 ET print is 12:00 in CDMX.
Tax from Mexico — we will not pick a rate
The SAT expects Mexican tax residents to declare foreign income. There is no official SAT catalog line that says “Kalshi event contract.” Do not copy the ISR rate from a casa de apuestas onto these fills. A contador público who handles foreign-broker accounts should classify the dollar P&L.
