Opening from Chile
A RUT-linked cédula and Chilean address typically clear KYC. No cuenta RUT at BancoEstado is linked. Nothing is opened at the Bolsa de Santiago, and Kalshi will not emit a folio SII.
What Chile pays with at home
TEF, Khipu, and Mach pesos do not credit Kalshi. Chileans buy dollars under Banco Central / bank documentation, then send SWIFT or a merchant debit the deposit screen accepts. A Mach transfer “para Kalshi” to a personal RUT is a scam tell circulating on WhatsApp.
From CLP in Chile to USD
USD/CLP is liquid on screen and still padded at the caja on Agustinas. Convert before you remit. Pesos never settle the DCM, and a “dólar observador” screenshot is not the rate BancoEstado will sell you.
